Checking In

How is everyone doing during this current pandemic?  We trust that everyone
is doing fine and that we are enjoying all this extra time that we now have!
BUT we want to get back to “normal” which will be different I’m sure.
Normal, as I have heard, is only a setting on a dryer!

Have you been able to watch our services on CAT-TV or on this website? Each week we have hadthe privilege of joining together in worship with music and the Word of God.

Thank God for all the pastors who have come here on either a Tuesday,
Wednesday,or Thursday to pre-record the weekly worship service for the First Baptist Family and other interested people.

Since this a trying time for all, many people have recommitted their lives
to God through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Many, I have heard have
made a first-time commitment to Christ.  So, in spite of the adversity and
trials and tests, people are coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus!  Thank
God; He uses all things to bring us all to salvation and also a closer walk
with Him.  Remember the old hymn, “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.”

Psalm 91 tells us that we are sheltered under the wings of our God.  Psalm
23 promises us that when we walk through the valley of the “shadow” of
death, we are to fear no evil, for “He will never leave us, nor forsake us.”
What great promises!  His banner over us is Love as it states in the Song of
Solomon.

We will keep you informed as to when the church will be open again with all
the “new” guidelines for public gatherings.  God bless each of you.  Know
that we are praying for you and that God has you in the Palm of His Hand.

May God richly bless you, beloved ones.

In Christ,
Charlie Marshall
