Non-profits at FBC

There are multiple non-profits that use our church facility. We are primarily a Christian church that seeks to share the love of God through the life-changing good news of Jesus Christ. All are welcome to join us for worship on Sundays at 10:30am and for our weekly Bible studies.

We are happy to share our space to serve the needs of our community with the following organizations:

Bennington Farmer’s Market is here at FBC starting in October and lasting through April. All markets  take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month (Find more info on their website:

Help-a-pet is a free veterinary clinic for small animals, Second Sunday of every month from 4 to 6 pm. “We offer treatment of parasites, minor illnesses, wounds, and injuries, as well as basic wellness exams. We are not a vaccination clinic but do offer rabies vaccines in conjunction with the wellness exams. We welcome pets from families who do not have the funds to go to a veterinarian, for example, people who are eligible for Medicaid, 3 Squares, Fuel Assistance, or Meals on Wheels.” Their email is

PAVE/Family Time. The mission of Family Time is to acknowledge and support the importance of family relationships by providing a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children and adults during monitored family time with non-residential parents and extended family members. Monitored Family Time hours are based on individual needs and will be arranged during intake. Cancellation notice of 24 hours is required. Family Time is located on the backside of First Baptist on the second floor. Visitors will need to use the doorbell on the back of the church to gain access to the Family Time offices. Vermont Center for Independent Living. VCIL’s mission is to empower Vermonters with disabilities, Deaf Vermonters, and others to tear down the physical, communication, and attitudinal barriers that keep us from realizing our full human potential.
