There are multiple non-profits located in our church facility. We are happy to share our space to serve the needs of our community, although we are primarily a Christian church that seeks to share the love of God through the life-changing good news of Jesus Christ. All are welcome to join us for worship on Sundays at 9:30am and for our weekly Bible studies.
Bennington Free Clinic is open Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9pm and Monday mornings from 10am until 12 noon. Appointments are encouraged for Thursday clinics but walk ins are welcome. Appointments are required for Monday morning clinics and for Women’s health clinics. The clinic is located in room 104 on the first floor of the church. The Kitchen Cupboard has temporarily relocated to our facility while they search for a permanent home. Their food distribution hours are currently Tuesdays 5:30-8:30 and Saturdays 3:00-6:00 at this writing (subject to change). Their website can be found here.
Help-a-pet is a free veterinary clinic for small animals, Second Sunday of every month from 4 to 6 pm. “We offer treatment of parasites, minor illnesses, wounds, and injuries, as well as basic wellness exams. We are not a vaccination clinic but do offer rabies vaccines in conjunction with the wellness exams. We welcome pets from families who do not have the funds to go to a veterinarian, for example, people who are eligible for Medicaid, 3 Squares, Fuel Assistance, or Meals on Wheels.” Their website can be found at helpapet.net
PAVE/Family Time. The mission of Family Time is to acknowledge and support the importance of family relationships by providing a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children and adults during monitored family time with non-residential parents and extended family members. Monitored Family Time hours are based on individual needs and will be arranged during intake. Cancellation notice of 24 hours is required. Family Time is located on the backside of First Baptist on the second floor. Visitors will need to use the doorbell on the back of the church to gain access to the Family Time offices. VCIL’s mission is to empower Vermonters with disabilities, Deaf Vermonters, and others to tear down the physical, communication, and attitudinal barriers that keep us from realizing our full human potential.
