First Baptist Spring Tag Sale is coming!!!

FRIDAY, MAY 2nd 3PM - 6PM and SATURDAY, May 3rd: 10AM - 1PM

 Bring in spring/summer clothes, household items, and anything else in clean and useable condition (No TV’S please) by Monday, April 28, 2014.    If you are interested in volunteering for the tag sale contact Grace Becker-Wilson,  Lisa Flynn or the church office. To arrange a pick up date and time for items you cannot transport please call 442-4970 or 447-1605.




Bennington Free Library Book Sale

The library's annual book sale will be held at First Baptist on  Friday April 25 from 6p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday April 26th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission on  Friday  is $10 and  Saturday's admission is FREE! For more details contact the library at  802-442-9051 or  webmaster@bfli.org



“Practical Discussion of Christian Forgiveness” 5 Thursday Evenings March 6 – April 10, 2014 6:00 – 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church.  All are welcome.  Begin with us on March 6th.  Time can be adjusted to accommodate attendees.  If you plan to attend and will need child-care notify Pastor or Church Office.




 First Baptist will hold it's Cabin Fever flea market on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 10am to 2pm. 20+ tables. Items include collectibles, antique, boutique and vintage pieces, books and much more. Brunch, lunch and snack items will be provided and sold by First Baptist. If you are interested in being a vendor for this event, please contact Grace Becker-Wilson at 802-379-4548.



Christmas Eve Service at First Baptist

The First Baptist Church of Bennington, Vermont, will hold its Christmas Eve service on Wednesday, December 24, 2013 at 7 PM.  The service will feature familiar Christmas carols and scripture readings accompanying the church’s gradual lighting of the Advent candles and preparation to light the Christ candle at the service’s culmination.  The church’s interim minister, the Rev. Thomas Hiltsley will preside over the service.   Accompanying the service music will be Mo Rancourt, guest trumpeter, and Charles Olegar, the church’s organist and director of music.
